Week 1 question

For this week, I want you to find out different cultural aspects of your country to gives us a good introduction to life there.  What is the housing like (apartments, shacks, etc)?  What is the food like over there?  What are their main dishes? Do they eat a big lunch and small breakfast, etc.?  What type of clothing do they wear?  What is their main religion? Main language? Types of sports they play? Big sports teams? Main source of income for the country (i.e. oil, cars, etc.)

Sri Lanka is a dream spot as they welcome me in with open hands and love to see me.  Some of there houses here are monstrous bigger than mine back in the U.S. then some our these little shacks that i am surprised anyone lives in them.  There food is hot and spicy, and there main dishes are fish and rice, but eat meat, fruits, and vegetables.  There main drinking dish is coffee and tea which I enjoy.  They are the fourth largest in tea production.  For there clothes they where mostly cotton because of the heat which can reach over a 100 sometimes.  The girls wear sari.  The children wear school clothes to school.  The majority of people are Buddhists but there are also other religions such as Hinduism, Islam and Christianity.  There main language is mainly Sinhala, but also Tamil, and English so some people I can understand.  There major sport they play is cricket which I know how to play a little but they also play Swimming, tennis, soccer, golf, badminton, netball, baseball and even a little bit of rugby.  They also compete in the Olympics but have only won to silver medals.  There main source of income is working out in the farms to get the tea ready
